Privacy and Site Security Policy
You are in control of the information you provide to Baker.
As a customer of Baker Precision, you are in complete control of your racing needs. This includes controlling the use of information you provide to Baker. The bottom line is that we respect and will continue to respect the privacy of our customers who use the Baker website.
Because protecting your privacy is important to us, Baker utilizes the TRUST Privacy Program. When you see the TRUST seal, you can be assured that Baker uses your information in a private, confidential and secure fashion.
What personal information is being gathered by Baker and how is this information being used?
When you become a Baker customer you provide your name, address, telephone number, email address and credit card information. This information is collected on the order form for several reasons including: (1) personal identification; (2) to complete purchases; (3) to allow us to contact you for customer service, if necessary; (4) to customize the content of our site to meet your specific needs; and (5) to make product improvements to the Baker site. We don't store your credit card number, so if our site is attacked by hackers, all they find are part numbers and race car pictures ! In addition, your email address is collected if you wish to subscribe to our monthly newsletter. Subscription is optional.
Baker occasionally sponsors contests to give customers the opportunity to win great prizes. Information collected by Baker for such contests can include contact information and survey questions. Contact information is used to notify contest winners and survey information is used to develop promotions and product improvements to the Baker website.
Baker values opinions and comments from customers, so we occasionally conduct online surveys. These surveys are entirely optional for all members. Typically, the information is aggregated and used to make improvements to the Baker website and to develop appealing content, features and promotions for customers. Survey participants are anonymous unless otherwise stated in the survey.
Baker collects IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our servers and for system administration.
Please be aware that we have links on our site which may collect personally identifiable information about you. This Privacy Statement does not cover the information practices or policies of such Web sites.
Who will the information be shared with, if anyone?
We do not sell individual customer names or other private profile information to third parties and have no intention of doing so in the future. Occasionally, Baker will hire a third party to act on our behalf for projects such as market research surveys and contest entry processing and will provide information to these third parties specifically for use in connection with these projects. The information we provide to such third parties is protected by a confidentiality agreement and is to be used solely for completing the specific project. See "What other information should I know about my privacy?" below.

What safeguards are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information?
All information you provide to Baker is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before you send it to us. In addition, when you make purchases from Baker, you are protected by our Shop Safe Guarantee.
